The park boasts many sporting facilities to enjoy throughout the year.

Snowtubing at Chinguacousy Park

One of southern Ontario's few snowtubing hills are located inside Chinguacousy Park adjacent to the ski hill. Snow tubing tickets can be purcahsed inside the ski chalet. Read more about snow tubing at the park.

Skiing and snowboarding

Skating

In the winter the pool is transformed into a skating rink. There is no admission fee but you need to bring your own skates as the skate rental is no longer open.

Beach volleyball

There are several beach volleyball courts near the ski hill. Enjoy a game with friends or sit by the side and watch a few games. Courts 12 - 14 are available for public access. Courts 1 -11 require booking via the city's booking system.

Tennis

The Sandra Hames Tennis Centre is located inside the park. It's a members-only centre and in order to play you need to book a court ahead of time. Visit the centre's website for more information.

Cycling and hiking

Cycling is not ideal on the main pedestrian pathways inside the park, instead you can use the long trail system that runs across and way past Chinguacousy Park. Similarly, the interior of the park is most often too busy for serious hikers but the trail system is an ideal place to hike longer distances. For informtion about the trails check the trails page.

Skateboarding

A large skateboarding park is near the beach volleyball nets near the Bramalea Rd. entrance. It's free to use and no reservations are required.

Exercise stations

Several outdoor exercise stations are located along the main trail to challenge anyone to a few minutes of extra activity. If you go in order - the exercise stations are numbered - and spend a few minutes at each station, you'll finish a healthy workout while walking along the nice nature trail.

Curling

The Chinguacousy Curling Club is located inside the park. Visit the club's website for details.

Soccer, football and running track in the stadium

The Terry Fox Stadium is home to soccer matches and track and field events. Wheeled equipement (bikes, scooters, etc.) aren't allowed in the stadium. You can bring a water bottle inside but no food allowed. Other than recreational running the stadium needs to be booked.
