Chinguacousy Park splash pad and wading pool

The park is a great place to stay cool and have fun during hot summer days.

A wading pool is located by the barn near the Central Park Drive entrance. This pool is large enough so even on busy days there is plenty of space for everyone to splash around. There are lifeguards on duty while the pool is open and they can also provide basic first aid to help with scrapes and bruises. Despite the presence of lifeguards all caregivers must watch their chilren at all times near the water!

The building by the pool is where washrooms are located along with lockers and there is a small eatery to buy cold treats, hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks.

During the winter months the pool is converted into a skating rink. Read more about various sports options at Chinguacousy Park.

There is no reservation required to use the wading pool and admission is free. The pool is too shallow for swimming and there are also no beaches or other swimming areas at the park. It's in full sun so don't forget to bring and use sunscreen!

Another area to keep cool is the large splash pad near the main playground. Both the pool and splashpad are fairly new and provide hours of entratainment for the young ones and the young at heart.
